Reflective Insulation - Bubble

Our Reflex-Air™ reflective bubble insulation can provide R-Values as high as R-17, however, the r-value is completely dependent on where and how the product is installed. Any reflective product that is approximately ¼” thick can only achieve an r-value of approximately 1 to 1.5. The additional r-value is achieved by the DEAD air space around the reflective product; in other words the still dead airspace is what provides the insulation assembly the additional r-value. For specific applications based on heat flow directions and enclosed air spaces of specified depths, please view our installation instructions along with their R-Values.

Because there is little difference between single and double bubble r-values for the product itself, we recommend our single bubble products. Our Reflex-Air™ bubble insulation wrap products can be produced in 16", 24", 48", 72", and 96" widths and of varying lengths. We offer straight edge, staple tab and tape tab versions. 25 roll minimum order required.

RadiantGUARD® Reflex-Air™ reflective bubble wrap insulation products consist of one or two layers of a bubble insulation material laminated between layers of metalized film to provide excellent thermal resistance. The bubble insulation contains an air retention layer designed to provide increased strength and puncture resistance. 

Our Reflex-Air™ bubble insulation products are industrialized, not basic bubble wrap packaging, that are manufactured to last and maintain the enclosed air space. The independently enclosed bubble insulation layers are sealed with multiple layers of polyester creating closed air bubbles which prevent the loss of air and carry a 10 year warranty.

Insulation is used to either contain heat for maintaining warmth, or to resist heat for maintaining cold. In many applications, radiation is the dominant mode of heat transfer. RadiantGUARD® Reflex-Air™ reflective bubble insulation is considerably more effective than conventional insulations in reducing radiant heat transfer.

RadiantGUARD® Reflex-Air™ reflective bubble insulation reflects up to 96% of radiant energy in addition to resisting conductive and convective heat transfers thus providing effective insulation.
