RadiantGUARD® reflective insulation products
consist of one or two layers of bubble material laminated between layers of aluminum
foil to provide excellent thermal resistance. The bubble insulation contains an
air retention layer designed to provide increased strength and puncture resistance.
Insulation is used to either contain heat for maintaining warmth,
or to resist heat for maintaining cold. In many applications, radiation is the dominant
mode of heat transfer. RadiantGUARD® Bubble is considerably more
effective than conventional insulations in reducing radiant heat transfer.
RadiantGUARD® reflective insulation reflects
up to 97% of radiant energy in addition to resisting conductive and convective heat
transfers thus providing effective insulation.
Reflective insulation is ideal for crawl spaces,
radiant floor heating, and basic floor heat retention
applications as well as for insulating pole barns, post
frame, and metal and steel buildings.
Our DOUBLE bubble reflective insulation radiant barrier products consist
of *TWO* layers of bubble insulation material laminated
between layers of our radiant barrier aluminum foil to provide excellent thermal
resistance (R-value up to 15.4 for downwards heat flow).
NOTE: When comparing our products with other companies,
make sure you are comparing similar products. Some companies only offer
a single bubble insulation product whereas we offer both DOUBLE and SINGLE
bubble products.
Our SINGLE bubble reflective insulation radiant barrier
products consist of *ONE* layer of bubble insulation material
laminated between layers of our radiant barrier aluminum foil to provide slightly
less R-Values than our DOUBLE bubble (R-value up to 14.9 for downwards
heat flow).
WHITE/Foil bubble insulation is designed for applications where
non-cured concrete will come in contact with the insulation (heated floor slab installations)
or metal building installations where an aesthetic indoor look is desired.
NOTE: Always place WHITE side towards
any non-cured cement mixtures. Foil side will corrode if it comes in contact
with non-cured cement.
