Radiant Barriers Provide YEAR-ROUND Savings

Studies have shown that up to 93% of ceiling heat gain in summer months occurs from radiant heat transfers from attics heated by radiant energy from the sun.   Roof shingles and decking absorb radiant heat generated by the sun and transfer this heat into attic spaces heating up existing insulation.  Once this existing insulation meets its saturation point, it then radiates this heat to all surfaces within the interior of the home (ceilings and walls).

Radiant Barrier Applications for COOLER Climates

Most studies on radiant barrier reflective insulation products have been related to the amount of radiant heat from the sun that can be blocked from entering building structures in the summer months / warm climates.  However, radiant barrier reflective insulation can also provide benefits in the winter months / cooler climates by retaining heat generated within a building thereby, keeping a building warmer without the use of added heating costs.

RadiantGUARD® radiant barrier reflective foil insulation bubble products consist of one or two layers of bubble material laminated between layers of aluminum foil to provide excellent thermal resistance in a home insulation radiant barrier reflective insulation product. The bubble contains an air retention layer designed to provide increased strength and puncture resistance.  The bubble layers provide a greater reduction of heat transfer. We offer various widths and versions with tabs for easier installation.
