RadiantGUARD® Radiant Barrier Products

RadiantGUARD® Reflective Foil Insulation Products

We are your online source to gain
educational knowledge about and purchase radiant barrier
reflective foil insulation. We bring you the popular RadiantGUARD®
product line of reflective insulation - the radiant barrier
reflective foil insulation system inspired by NASA research, development, and
use that offers consumers today a permanent way to help reduce heating and
cooling utility costs.
| While radiant barriers have been in the
marketplace for almost 30 years, they have recently gained popularity
due to the ever increasing costs of energy. Radiant barrier for
attics work differently than traditional insulation products.

Definition of a "True"
Radiant Barrierr: Per the Department of Energy (DOE), a product
classified as a "radiant barrier" must have a low emittance of 10% or
less and high reflectance of 90% or more. If it doesn't reflect 90% of the
radiant heat at a minimum, it cannot be called a "radiant barrier."
Our
RadiantGUARD® radiant
barrier and reflective
insulation products have an emittance of 3% and a
reflectance of 97%; considerably higher than the
DOE's radiant barrier minimum classification requirements.

RadiantGUARD® vs.
Radiant Barrier Paints
Did you know that the
typical "radiant barrier paint" used to combat radiant heat only blocks
an average of 75% of the radiant heat? Our radiant barrier
products block 97% of the radiant heat; almost 30% more than the
spray counterparts. If your still undecided about using
RadiantGUARD® radiant barrier products instead of a spray barrier,

barrier paint. |
Radiant Barriers Provide YEAR-ROUND Savings
Studies have shown that up
to 93% of ceiling heat gain in summer months occurs from radiant heat transfers
from attics heated by radiant energy from the sun. Roof
shingles and decking absorb radiant heat generated by the sun and transfer this
heat into attic spaces heating up existing insulation. Once this existing
insulation meets its saturation point, it then radiates this heat to all
surfaces within the interior of the home (ceilings and walls).
Radiant barrier and
reflective insulation products
BLOCK almost ALL of this radiant heat.
RadiantGUARD®
radiant barrier reflective insulation products can reduce attic
temperatures by up to 30 degrees when installed to the underside of
roof rafters. Lowering attic temperatures provides a significant benefit
by reducing air conditional loads and energy usage. Attic foil insulation
radiant barriers can also:
-
Reduce heat transfer from attic to living spaces by up
to 50%,
-
Extend the life of air conditioning units, and
-
Increase the comfort level of a home.
The University of Nevada Las
Vegas conducted independent research and discovered that radiant
barrier insulation can reduce energy consumption by up to 35%
during peak hours in the summer and by up to 29% over extended periods.
Our radiant barrier products are
the leading products on the market used by home owners, new home builders, and
agricultural and manufacturing enterprises. Our radiant barrier foil
insulation products are made from 99% pure aluminum making them the best at
blocking 97% of the radiant heat that attempts to enter
building structures.
Radiant Barrier Applications for COOLER Climates
Most studies on radiant
barrier reflective insulation products have been related to the amount of
radiant heat from the sun that can be blocked from entering building
structures in the summer months / warm climates. However, radiant
barrier reflective insulation can also provide benefits in the winter months
/ cooler climates by retaining heat generated within a building
thereby, keeping a building warmer without the use of added heating costs.
Most of the same applications
applied to keep a house cooler in summer months / warmer climates are
effective at keeping a house warmer in winter months / cooler climates.
RadiantGUARD®
radiant barrier products are
high quality, double-sided, tear and puncture resistant radiant barrier products
of higher quality than many of the other radiant barrier products in the
marketplace. All RadiantGUARD® radiant barrier
products meet the Standard Specifications for Sheet Radiant Barriers for
Building Construction Applications ASTM C1313 and the
State of California Title 24
Insulation Standards.
RadiantGUARD®
reflective insulation bubble products
consist of one or two layers of bubble material laminated between layers of
aluminum foil to provide excellent thermal resistance in a home insulation
radiant barrier reflective insulation product. The bubble contains an air
retention layer designed to provide increased strength and puncture resistance.
The bubble layers provide a greater reduction of heat transfer. We offer various
widths and versions with tabs for easier installation.
Most common applications for
these radiant barrier bubble insulation products include pole barns, post and
frame wall, metal building wall, post and frame attic, metal building roof, and
agricultural buildings.

reflective foil insulation products can be reviewed and purchased online.

Radiant Barrier Foil Insulation cuts energy costs
At
RadiantGUARD.com, you will find a
selection of radiant
barrier foil insulation products designed to help you save money on
energy usage and more. In their most popular application,
reflective insulation products work by reflecting 97% of
the thermal radiation that would normally be transferred to the top surface of
your standard attic insulation.
Foil insulation
has many other applications, as well. Reflective foil
bubble insulation
creates an enclosed air space that can effectively reduce conductive heat loss
through the insulation and increase energy efficiency. Our
double bubble
insulation can also serve a crucial role in concrete floors and radiant
heating systems as floor insulation by enhancing thermal efficiency, halting
moisture transmission, resisting radon seepage into the home, and blocking
termite infestation.
Radiant barriers
from RadiantGUARD.com are the premier foil
insulation products on the market helping consumer save energy costs
year round. Start saving today with RadiantGUARD®
